Second Dose of Google Juice

You might remember how much I enjoy exploring points of origin for new visitors. I don’t know whom you are, but if you google a word or phrase and end up on this blog, I get a glimpse at what’s on your mind (thanks to my sitemeter referral tracking). Most phrases connect well with what I write about, but others are quite fascinating. So, here are my favorite search phrases I’ve collected during the past several months. (See my responses to the search phrase authors in parenthesis.) Feel free to claim your phrase for a special prize.

  1. cool blue things (go here)
  2. how many sides does a trapazoid have (five... I mean four, but the Farmer had to tell me; and interestingly enough, you spelled trapezoid incorrectly just as I did when crafting this)
  3. woman bound in rubber and encased in steel (ah… you won’t find that here)
  4. tips on how 11 year olds can be cool in fifth grade (be yourself)
  5. etiquette for conversation at the table (be a good listener)
  6. people who makes juice (as in juicers?)
  7. taking the bull by the horns (fun to do, but watch your step)
  8. land of make believe (please share directions)
  9. how to put the earring back on (is this really that difficult?)
  10. how to make Shirley temples (I have no idea; but I do have the recipe for a Yahootini)
  11. life size replica of noah’s Ark in Pennsylvania (I need to see this)
  12. half Armenian (I’m a quarter)
  13. deviled egg plastic holder (I don’t own one of these, but I do like deviled eggs)
  14. violets taking over my lawn (sounds like fun)
  15. dandelion wishes (I still do these, though I have not yet received my horse)
  16. dandelion stains (you must be doing some serious wishing)
  17. jointhecircus (may I recommend Cirque du Soleil?)
  18. really cool people that are alive (you’d be surprised how many there are)
  19. cracking an egg (not that tough, unless you are attempting the one-hander)
  20. mooshy (ha – so you want one too?!)
  21. ritz carlton customer unusual requests wow (I had the one on Amelia Island send my mooshy home)
  22. artistic temperament (if your spouse has this and he/she is a blogger, my heart goes out to you)
  23. botchy ball rules (actually, I prefer a good game of chess)
  24. coloring little cool people (I’m having a hard time visualizing this)
  25. what do cool people do (hang out at this blog)
  26. big picture of people smiling (how about a chimpanzee?)
  27. husband chronically underemployed (hang in there, sister)
  28. how to dress cool for a female (avoid Hawaiian shirts, spandex and tank tops)
  29. talk to an American soldier (do say thank you)
  30. I know I’m in love when I feel an overwhelming sense of complete (I hope your search results are successful)

Regarding the Trapazoid, I appreciate the footnote. However, I correctly identified the shape to have 4 sides and not 5 as you have mentioned in your most recent post. We all know that the Pentagon is the 5 sided shape. Please make the necessary changes and help repair my embarrassment.

That's one of the most entertain takes I've seen anyone do on search strings.

Mandy - I tweaked the intro a bit to clarify (I hope). People have typed these phrases into google (or other search engines) and found their way to my blog as it was listed on the search results page. I see these phrases listed as referral links in my sitemeter and save them for pure entertainment value.

Actually, the picture you've posted shows a chimpanzee fear grimacing. It's a face chimpanzees make when they feel fearful or threatened. It's not the face of a happy chimpanzee, but quite the opposite!

anonymous - Thanks for the correction. Wow. Good to know.

The chimpanzee smiling...yeah, that's not good. Chimpanzees smile out of fear so that chimpanzee is scared out of it's mind. There is absolutely no reason to scare that poor animal!
